About Us

The McGovern family is the proud new owner of the White Horse Inn. Gina, John and their two sons Neil and Gary invite you to come and enjoy the beauty, charm and excitement of Berkshire County in this newly restored bed and breakfast.

Gary, the Innkeeper, studied and worked in New York City for eight years. He began his career in hospitality in 1999 and has since managed front desk and hotel operations in the Berkshires and in San Francisco. Gary’s travels have taken him throughout the US, Europe, and most recently, the South Pacific.

Neil is a licensed General Contractor with a degree in Environmental Design from the University of Massachusetts. He recently returned to the Berkshires after studying and working in Hawaii, San Francisco and the Florida Keys. Neil is in charge of renovations at the Inn.

Gina and John have called the Berkshires their home for over 30 years. Gina grew up in the capital region of New York, just outside Albany. As a Registered Nurse, she has held many roles within Berkshire Health Systems and currently works part-time. John moved here from Ireland to work with G.E. and spent the latter half of his career as Customer Service Manager for G.E. Plastics.
